    Cave Tileset

@Lumiere: > All those abilities are related 100% with the brain, mental abilities. > And Bruce Lee's quotes are not only for fighters. > You still don't get it kid, people can be specialized in more than 1 thing. > And by lazy i didn't mean hes lazy because he don't make a whole new tileset, what i said is that he is lazy to search a few minutes on google. No, you still don't get it, _kid_. He isn't lazy for not searching for a tileset. Because that's not what he asked for. He asked for someone to suggest him a **good** tileset. He might not be artistic minded and not know what is good or not. Stop ignoring what I'm saying.

@Lumiere: > Who the hell,or what gay teacher told you..nevermind ,i can dance and sing in the same time,i can play piano using both hands ,i can use both legs to high kick. > All it needs is practice, people tends to stick with one thing because they not even bother to try other variants. > > "If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." > > ~Bruce Lee I didn't ask for your physical abilities. Nor did I ask for a Bruce Lee quote (which is highly irrelevant). What I am saying is that different people specialize. One person cannot create a whole game by themselves. We work in teams. He's not being lazy by not making a whole new tileset for reasons he might not even need one for. You now seem to be judging people because they can't do everything and anything you can.

    Tileset

    Did you create these?

@Lumiere: > There is a begining for everything, you're not artistic ,then you can be,you are not good at programming stuff then you can be, you are weak then you can be strong, but if you are limiting to ONE god damn thing then you are a fail. Nope, it is scientifically proven that the brain is two sided and it is very rare that both sides can be utilized. You get programmers and you get artists. You don't get both.

@Lumiere: > The tileset can be found on some websites, and not only rmxp tilsets. > He can even make one,yes that would take some time, but he will learn something,i know that because i'm in the digital art, worked for some decent companies a few years, and atm i have my own business. > So is better to learn something if you really want to get somewhere. > Most people here learned vb6(and many other programming languages) others learned and got some experience in pixel art, others in both. > First he needs to learn to do his job, and if he wants to make a game using copyrighted content then no problem, he can search a bit on google ,examples: rmxp tilset, cave tilset, dungeon tileset, etc. > is not that hard. > He was like "Oh i have a wife, but i need someone to get her pregnant,i'm too lazy for that" and then suddenly appeared a guy and said "hey man,let me do that for you, here we go,do you like that kid,or you want me to try again for you?!" > > And those who replied me didn't get the point. > "He needs to learn to do the work on his own, because nobody will be there for him whenever he wants, and if he can't do shit, means he chosed the shortcut" Like I said previously, what if he's not artistic? Yeah, practice makes perfect, but people like me who are more logical minded can't be artistic. That's why games are developed by teams. Different people specializing in different areas. And all this is implying that he is working on a game. He could just be mapping. Also, he might not be at the point in development where he needs to create his own graphics. He is not being lazy, he is asking someone to suggest to him a good tileset. That is all.
  6. I only use antivirus because my Mum bought me Norton and it would of been mean not to.
  7. I got your PM. I'm sorry but I think the language barrier is going to cause to much difficulty for me to help you. If you don't know what a router is, there's not much I can tell you.
  8. @Sick: > Nope, same here. Though I got a "Anti-virus virus" once.. Weirdest thing. Wouldn't allow me to open any programs, including taskmanager because they were all "infected" and only way to get rid of the "infection" was to buy the shit. I once got a virus that displayed a message from the Metropolitan Police that I had committed acts of Pedophilia and that the only way to get rid of the message and return to normal computer use was to pay a £50 fine. I knew it was fake because the fine is usually a lot higher. ;)
  9. This reminds me a lot of Scratch. It could be very useful to teach newbies about programming.
  10. Step 1\. You need to identify how you connect to the internet. Are you using dial-up, or broadband? And what router, if any, do you have in place?

    Cave Tileset

@Lumiere: > If you are sick of it then don't read it,if you look up he accepted that rmxp tilset wich can be easily found on google ,but did he even bothered searching it, NO. > > Nice haircut anyway ;) Actually, that tileset isn't easily found on Google. I had to download and install the RTP to obtain it. @Lumiere: > you all are just a bunch of wannabe > And you will be always just a lazy kid,who can't do shit without help. He wasn't just requesting a cave tileset. He was requesting a _good_ cave tileset. Maybe he could easily find a tileset but like a lot of people, he may not know what is good or not. I'm not artistic and could not differentiate between two works of art, maybe he is the same. Maybe not. Don't judge people so easily.
  12. Define experience. I've worked with Java for a while and they have very similar syntax. I am also very familiar with OO.
  13. Is this really still being talked about? I'm sure that a web server can not pick up a virus (unless it's windows), if it could we would all know about it. His anti-virus thinks this site is malicious, mine has for the past 2 years. There is nothing to see here, move along.
  14. @Synergy: > This is why I don't believe in Christianity; although every religion is the same: > [http://www.project-reason.org/gallery3/](http://www.project-reason.org/gallery3/) > Although, I have a great deal of respect for Buddhism, since it's more of a way of life than other religions. That's contradictions within the bible, not the religion. Remember that the bible's content comes from many people that might not have the same opinions on how the religion works. The bible is a reference, not a manual.

  16. I want to believe in Creationism. But I have yet to find compelling arguments.
  17. @John: > Don't feel that way, just ignore those statements xD Okay then, well I think that the Universe will end with a Big Bounce. Where the whole Universe will collapse in on it's self and cause another Big Bang. I think that this will happen and has happened before. Unless time it's self starts again, therefore meaning that the same universe would repeat itself. Or is repeating itself. I also found something cool from Wikipedia. "Assuming that dark energy continues to make the universe expand at an accelerating rate, 2×1012 (2 trillion) years from now, all galaxies outside the Local Supercluster will be red-shifted to such an extent that even gamma rays they emit will have wavelengths longer than the size of the observable universe of the time. Therefore, these galaxies will no longer be detectable in any way." Basically, galaxies would float off into oblivion.
  18. @Wing: > I think you have ponies in your signature. I would like to enter this intellectual discussion but the ponies are putting me off. I am neither 8, nor female.
  19. IRON METAL Because all of the other metals aren't iron enough.
  20. I have been playing around with LWJGL/Slick recently. Would it be okay for me to use your source as a reference on a similar project of mine? I've been looking for something like this for a while.
  21. @Yukiyo: > **BEFORE YOU OPEN THE SPOILER BELOW…** > > I must inform you of some things. I warn you the map below contains so much epicness, pizazz, and all around greatness that you'll all deactivate your own accounts in shame. This map was made with my 24 hour game edition of CS:DE (Crystalshire Developers Edition) and will blow your mind away. Literally, get a helmet or tell your room mate to grab a mop because this map is just that dangerous. > > Not only does it master the word "minuscule" but it will take you to a whole other world (of lolz). Now that my warning is complete, you may proceed to open the spoiler, with extreme caution. Hold your cookies close, and your cache closer. > > I present to you … > > >! RMXP Autotiles in CS:DE ;D Do I auto win? >:O![](http://i.imgur.com/mzwaP.jpg) The more that I read this, the more I knew that map was going to be bad.

  23. @Noth: > Change > ``` > With TmpColorKey > .Low = TheSurface.GetLockedPixel(x, y) > .High = .Low > End With > > ``` > To > ``` > With TmpColorKey > .Low = RGB(255, 255, 255) > .High = .Low > End With > > ``` That simple, eh? Thanks for your help.
  24. I was wondering how I could set the transparency mask colour to just plain white instead of the top left pixel. I found the right sub-routine, how would I change it? ``` ' This sub gets the mask color from the surface loaded from a bitmap image Public Sub SetMaskColorFromPixel(ByRef TheSurface As DirectDrawSurface7, ByVal x As Long, ByVal y As Long) Dim TmpR As RECT Dim TmpDDSD As DDSURFACEDESC2 Dim TmpColorKey As DDCOLORKEY ' If debug mode, handle error then exit out If Options.Debug = 1 Then On Error GoTo errorhandler With TmpR .Left = x .top = y .Right = x .Bottom = y End With TheSurface.Lock TmpR, TmpDDSD, DDLOCK_WAIT Or DDLOCK_READONLY, 0 With TmpColorKey .Low = TheSurface.GetLockedPixel(x, y) .High = .Low End With TheSurface.SetColorKey DDCKEY_SRCBLT, TmpColorKey TheSurface.Unlock TmpR ' Error handler Exit Sub errorhandler: HandleError "SetMaskColorFromPixel", "modDirectDraw7", Err.Number, Err.Description, Err.Source, Err.HelpContext Err.Clear Exit Sub End Sub ```
