  1. > That said, it's nice that you two are trying to make a refuge for these people.

Sounds just a tad over dramatic. ![:P](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)

I might just have to put everyone in a refugees group!

    Well well well.

    Change text size to default.
  3. > the newbies need help by actually learning the code and how it works. not from downloading a pack and installing it. what if it doesn't work? then you're ducked. what if it crashes the game? then you're ducked.

What if they don't want to learn to code?
  4. I remember when I first came to eclipse. I didn't need to code, I didn't really want to code.

I wanted to make a game!

Why because I thought it would be a fun thing to do, a little project for me and a couple of friends to play.

Being able to drop a couple of scripts into my main.txt with no effort was fine!

I hate how the current mentality of the community is "learn to code or piss off", surely there's something the developers of eclipse can do to make adding to the engine extremely simple?

Oh and don't start with that "ohh but it'll slow it down" shit. If people are wanting fast engines they REALLY shouldn't be using a deprecated language! Right?!

Eclipse should be fun. Making games should be fun. Why so serious these days?

Just my little rant. I'll go back to my corner now.
  5. > Like everyone said, this is a lazy way to do it. And quite stupid as well.

Yes because everyone who comes to eclipse needs to learn to code these now. I miss the good old days.

A system like that would be nice but it'll never happen unfortunately.
  6. > You think there is any difference between killing aliens and killing humans?

The aliens are usually invading and have much better technology. We don't have a chance!

GAH! That's one busy map you got there.

    VPS

Good luck finding a good one for less than $10!

Cheapest I've found is $10.99, didn't use that one though. I used the $14.99\. It worked fine.

The cliffs you circled are wrong for the wrong reason.

RMXP tiles have it darkening as they go down for chasms like that. Try doing that.
