Fixes on the walking frames: - rotated torso and abdomen more. try walking, your torso/abdomen moves, not just your arms. ~~- added more of a bobbing motion because we do bob up and down as we walk~~ (my bad forgot the original had bob) - tried fixing the legs up so they look like one leg is moving backwards more and one leg is coming forward more - fixed arms so they're not flailing as much. I still just don't like the legs in general. idk why. EDIT- I think the thing I don't like about the legs is the gap is just weird, and the hips. also, I think the arms are a tad too short. hands are supposed to come down to mid thigh.
  2. so far v1 is better, imo. I think his abdomen is too long, and his chest and shoulders look like a puny man.
  3. These are just examples, not necessarily how it's gonna be, I've actually gotten rid of that shadow, that was just an old picture of the tileset. It could be used for smoke too, probably would move a little faster than fog, and I'm not sure when I'll need that much smoke for my game lol. Smokey the Bear says no forest fires.
  4. Granted fog isn't always that thick lol. Sometimes you can see down the street, sometimes you can't. But I will probably take that into account, I will have different levels of fog. The Up and down thing isn't how it's going to work in game, I just couldn't capture it correctly in an animation. I have 2 ideas for it 1 - Continuously scrolling the fog in one direction, but it moves 1 pixel at a time (i.e. why it's slower than in the picture i posted) 2 - Making it a sort of particle engine and each fog cloud moves in a random direction 1 pixel at a time.

    lol, my bad kreator, scrolled too fast, look like the update was on your post. @atrophy I know there's some… but like i said it's not very readable. Take a quick glance at the image, 5 seconds tops. It looks like a wooden wall. Maybe it would help more if the side was rotated so the planks went up instead of sideways.

    There's almost no readability in the crate where it transitions from the top to the side. Even in Kreator's edit. And your tree is a green blob.
  8. well the guitar is pretty much the only thing i can hear in SLTS, the drums are very quiet and I don't notice much about it. the whole arrangement in general seems really rushed.
  9. - well there's numerous times he should've muted the strings and played a scratch note, basically the whole song - his bends in the beginning are wretched. - I'm a good 90% sure his guitar isn't tuned right or he's playing the wrong notes - Somewhere around like 40 seconds in, the main riff sounds worse than normal for some reason - There's roughly 5 screw ups in the solo, not to mention it's very choppy, almost sounds staccato - There's a screw up coming out of the solo Like i said, it sounds like a little kid learning to play guitar and playing his first song There's a few mess ups in the Kill too, but it's hardly noticeable through the dying cat vocals. I don't mean to be too harsh, it's just that stuff like this shouldn't be on the internet except on funny youtube videos. They need to practice more and sound better before putting stuff in the public eye and advertising it.

Just sounds like a kid learning guitar. P.S. has your guitarist heard of palm mutes? 3) I couldn't listen far enough into the kill to comment much.... ow.
  11. ok, well then that stance will probably do for that purpose. the 2nd head still bugs me lol. I think it's the jaw that needs to be de-rounded. He needs to have a manly jaw if he has such a buff-man body.
  12. Hmmm, i feel like the stance (namely the arms) are unnatural. Like one of those super buff people that can't put their arms by their sides. Maybe try to loosen up his arms and bit and let them fall closer to his sides and the head is just too round, it bugs me lol

  15. Oh yeah. thanks kusy! The stump is like one of the first pieces i made so I didn't really check it. i'm gonna try and keep the perspective the same for now. Kreator, I'm hoping not to make this with eclipse. I want to make my own java server/flash client but i'm currently mapping with eclipse cus i can't get the damn server to send messages properly. I hate network programming. And yeah I half assed that middle log, i'ma fix it tomorrow. Thanks Niko!

    There's hardly any actual shading in the clothes or the hair. and the eyes have no pupil. The shirt is oddly shaped, makes his shoulders appear very very skinny.

  18. eh the cliffs really need to stand out more. at first i thought they were a poorly done path because the edges aren't distinguishable. nice other than that though.
  19. I agree with you Psi lol. Logos is all about the design. The important stuff needs to the pop and the supporting details need to be well placed, well thought out, and extremely well executed. A text with a drop shadow is not a logo. It's a word with a shadow. And while Psi's is a big step up, it still could use vast improvement. The arrangement is just random. The colors are random. and the text has a random texture. But he's pointing you in the right direction. Just keep messing with photoshop and you'll learn some cool tidbits that will help make a great logo. Maybe even look up some logo designing tutorials.
  20. Yeah I already have a firepit and benches in my plan book for the small villages. the round huts are kinda just like the viking version of a tee-pee.

    Yeah I downloaded it right when it hit theatres. I thought it was pretty bad ass and the quality of animation was stunning. and i think the whole concept was clever an original. All combined, making it a great movie.
  22. Lol I'm aiming for the cheap alternative. There's gotta be something. Shit, maybe i'll just print it off on photo paper and super glue it to the buttons and paint over it with glossy paint haha
