hrmmm, well guis are .gif… and .gifs are the same. So blah. Idk how bmps got into play when every gui since the birth of eclipse has been saved and loaded in .gif format.

sorry about hijacking the thread. Point well proven. None the less, the gui needs work. Don't just put a picture in the bg, then add icons. The gui just becomes whats left of the bg image. Use textures, Make buttons that contrast with the gui, not random colors. Also only use icons for the menu if it looks good with the gui and compliments it.

lol, Robin you are wrong. Sorry mate. For one we are talking about eclipse Gui's am I correct? Eclipse loads Gui's in .gif format. If you take any random image of your computer, open it in paint then save it on your desktop as a .gif. Then you copy and paste the size attributes in an other paint window (making the same size) and save a white canvas as .gif. They will be 2 totally different file sizes. Ive tested it, so before YOU make a complete fool of your self you should try testing your argument out.

Alright so I started talking to a few admins and we came upon the subject of the vets group. I realized after looking through it that many of the members of the group were not vets. So I have been removing people from it. Now don't worry If you have been here a bit and are recognized throughout the forum you will stay. Theirs no real set limits on posts or time being here to be considered a vet, but frankly alot of people in the group were not even close. So I will be cleaning it up. This may explain the reason you are not a vet anymore. Please do not constantly bug or pm admins to be placed in the vets group. This will actually make your chances of being in the group turn into none. Place a request to be in the group and if you are accepted then great, if not then I'm sorry. If your not accepted, stick around a few months, post and try and make some sort of inpact on the community. Thanks guys.

This quest system will be fine though. It gives you plenty of options and you can script the whole quest if you want through the editor, by selecting the quest script. Plus it sets up the back bones for you so you do not have too. It also has the new conversation system and the quest log. Since the quest editor sets the quests up in sections (different events that happen) it marks the parts done down and updates the quest log. You cannot go wrong with this system.
