  1. Good idea, I would try this myself also, but.. too many people think they are already the best person ever at this & can't usually handle the constructive criticism.

  3. The maps I have a zone applied to only have the NPC's show up, but none of the weather effects are in effect anywhere, no matter how many different things I try to do differently. I move around the map to see if it will change, I try this for a while. I try switching maps. I tried applying fogs & overlays & taking them off, applying weather through map properties & going through the whole process again. An explanation of what I'm doing wrong or an investigation into the problem would be nice. - Thanks! :D EDIT: Fully put the Zone Editor through the paces. Everything works just fine. Set it & forget it, everything will work… EVENTUALLY.

  5. > Lua is pretty simple. Really all languages are simple. The API will determine how hard it is to script for the engine. ComputerCraft a mod for Minecraft uses Lua. You can learn lua from there if you want. > > > > The new engine will be in HTML5 and JavaScript. And the devs will possible create a converter for your game content. But remember that the pricing of EO5 may differ from EO4 and you might have to buy it again and the Gold members getting a discount. so wait, it's now going to use Java instead of LUA or it's coded in HTML5 & Java & uses LUA as it's scripting system? or did you guys decide to take that out? OR am I totally out to lunch & LUA was never even talked about? - I do too many things to keep up with it all…
  6. > ,…," data-cid="921185" data-time="1396739977"> > > Cool, I had a Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas server once, learned to mess around with Lua :P How easy is LUA? I've only ever used Auto-IT for scripting. XD
  7. EO4 & 5 are closed source. No need to know anything besides LUA. Which is scripting… If you can't script, there's something wrong. lol IDK any LUA either, but I'm not worried.

  9. Way to use Tales of Symphonia's Music for your 1st video without ANY credit of the Music that's playing. That's a slap to my face, as it's one of the best games ever made. At least in the 2nd video iTunes picked it up for you. I have THE BIGGEST PET-PEVE against people who use music that they didn't make themselves & don't cite/ credit it. HERE: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm9hMhoDRC8](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm9hMhoDRC8) The actual prologue & HERE: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faRycKfbUIQ](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faRycKfbUIQ) The instrumental.
  10. First of all, this is in the wrong section. This belongs in the "Other Eclipse Engines" section under "Question & Answer"/ "Tutorials". Second of all, no one really wants to help figure things out in Project Vertigo, because it's full of glitches & half-ass coding - from what I've heard.
  11. I bet V will have a subscription just the same as 4 for un-lockable features. I almost want bet that those of us who bought Gold for 4 would also get the V subscription - if there is one. No one will probably know until it's released. EO4, if you don't know how to program could save you some snags. It is possible to make a semi-unique game in EO4, IF you have a GOOD IMAGINATION to think outside the box while working in your editors. Might I add, I think I'm one of the only ones actually working within EO4, so to make a unique game within EO4 itself would be easy, as there's no other games to compare it to. People who lack imagination can have an engine loaded with features & have a shoddy game. People with a good imagination could have the most basic engine ever & make an epic game using the tools at their disposal. To put it in perspective. - A Novice with a Claymore could easily succumb to a Master that was using only their bare hands, simply because he knows how to use his limitations well. While the novice with his in-experience, thought the large weapon would give him an advantage.
  12. Get a hold of me on here & we can set up a meeting where I can give you the run down of what's involved with managing a project. Specifically in EO4 and/ or in general. I may even share some of my personal work with you if I find you to have a promising attitude.
  13. I got bored so the totals aren't done, but I hope someone finds this helpful. (I did it for myself & thought I would share.) Also, I did this in Notepad & use tab to separate everything, when pasted into almost anything else the columns are seen as single spaces. I'd love to fix this for you guys, but the way I see it, I've already done this much. >! NOTES - >! Character Max. Level = 250 >! 14. SHIFT + Left Click pet targets whatever you clicked on. Click on yourself to make it follow you again. Click anywhere & it will travel to that location. Learn to inspect for more details before complaining about something. I found REAL bugs with the Pet System combing through it with a fine-tooth comb. There's a work-around for pretty much anything within the engine. you just need the imagination. There are only 3 MINOR things missing from the engine meaning JC can focus on his HTML5 & cross your fingers it's half decent or unless you are good with some programmers who like you, I think you are pretty well shit outta luck. 2 Handed Weapons. Stupid gimmick he thinks it is, so I shall agree with him. although no one would mind seeing it. Day/ Night System which he was 50-50 about putting in from the start. && A Mailing system for when friends are offline. obviously not really needed. A couple MAJOR things he could add is for the Pet's that level to have their information bound to an item if an item is used to call it or bound to a character so that when a skill is used you get the same pet again instead of a brand new un-leveled pet. - still. not really something that's needed.
  15. ~Relatively Heard-Of & Not Overly Difficult~ 2-Handed Weapons - Not important by any means; Just opens up a little more dynamic options without much effort. Day/ Night (Light/ Dark) System - Give your world somewhat of a natural feel? Mail System - For those moments when your friends aren't online & really want to tell them something before you forget what it is. ~Just a thought & some more advanced work to be done~ Have an option for Pets Called/ Summoned with Items that "level up by Exp." to have some of the info be stored individually within' that item as to retain it's level & amount of Stat Points even if another Pet is Called/ Summoned so that when you Call/Summon the Item Pet again, it will be the same as when you "Release"d it. This would also allow for the trading of leveled-up Pets between Players. Have an option for Pets Called/ Summoned with Spells, if they "level up by Exp." would have some of their info stored within the Character info on that Account so every time that Character Calls/ Summons their Spell Pet that "levels up by Exp.", they have the exact same Pet that they left off with before they switched out Pets. -Again- Just a random thought I had while looking for Bugs.
