  1. Actually, I need this to work with my team, and to let anyone work at any time. However this is not possible if I act as a host, as long as they need to have my PC opened and connected to Internet (assuming I managed to get the tutorial work) to work. Also, I wanted to know how, and what I shall upload to the server. How do I get this working and so on.
  2. > What the heckers do you mean "not a no-ip", no-ip or not it's still an option to put as an ip, one is numbers and one is just a DN (DNS)…...... > > > > > > > > I offer hosting, $3 would not get you the greatest but um yeah I do discounts for dedicated projects ~ i'd need proof that it's going to be dedicated. (and if you setup with me you don't need to worry about setting the server up) I mean that there is a tutorial than tell you to get a no-ip dnns to reffer to your ip when other people try to connect, so they connect using the no-ip dnns. Thank you, I will think about it > Look up Virtual private server. > > Most services can host EO Thank you :D
  3. Okay, so, here are some questions I have about servers. Are Eclipse Origins hosted servers still available? If yes, where do I purchase one and when do I get more info? Can someone make a tutorial with pictures or a video to teach how to get a server running (a real one btw, not a no-ip redirection to my Ip)? If not, can you at least tell me briefly what to do? What kind of servers can host an EO game? (I mean, web servers or other games servers cannot, i think) Do you know any good service that can host an EO game freely or cheaply? (about 3$/month). Thanks for anyone replying to this. EDIT: OMG, I had a bug, and it uploaded this multiple times, can an administartor delete the other ones? X(

Ensure server is running (I know this seems silly, but I want to cover all the bases) > > 2.) Click the windows button, and open a command prompt by searching for cmd. > > 3.) Type in ipconfig, it will spit out a bunch of numbers, you are looking for your IPv4 Address under your Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection, usually something along the lines of 192.168.0.10, 10.0.0.10 dependent on your router and your ISP. If you already have no-ip set up, then keep it (I use it), check to make sure its up and running. Sometimes you have to refresh the host. > > 7.) Go into your router, set up port forwarding for 7001 (default) for Eclipse 4.0 to the same local IP address you used earlier (the one from step 2) > > 8.) Go into you Server List, delete all copies of your connection to your server (Do this for troubleshooting later on to make sure you don't try to use the wrong one) > > 9.) Create a new server for your no-ip address, should be something like yourservername.ddns.net > > 10.) Login and enjoy. If this doesn't work let me know in a PM and I can go into more detail about your specific hardware. I think he already followed that tutorial, this is what he meant by "I followed most of the port forwarding tutorials on the forums and apparently everything is right", so he is most likely being at the end of this tutorial. I did the same thing as him, and I got the same problem. It works perfectly for me, but does not work for others, it says that it failed to connect.
  5. Hi, I thought you found someone who was about to fix this. Seems that it didn't turn out well :/. Anyway. I have a question. Since you made the tutorial 3 times to add hunger, thirst and energy, does this happen with other bars? If not, then there HAS to be a mistake done while copying the code to your game. Try redoing the tutorial to add another hunger bar. See if it works. It should, if other bars do. Then delete your first bar.
  6. Hi, to cheat like this, they are modifying the game files. You shall use encription so they won't be able to change anything :) But, before using encription, you shall create a script in your engine that reads your encription, so it will still work, but people won't be able to change anything. Then, remember to force update everyone.
  7. Hey. If it froze when he was AFK, the source of the problem is in the code that manages **_what_** makes the hunger going down. Could you post a screen of your code, or the link to the tutorial, so I can see what's wrong. EDIT: Don't read my last sentence. I saw you already posted your link (sorry xD)< EDIT 2: Okay, so, I read the code, and it seems to have absolutely no problem. So, I'll ask you to try some things so we can find the real source of the problem. First: try reducing your hunger timer a lot, so it is extremely visible to see your hunger going down. 1 second should be good (60 ticks I think). Secondly, do you have any "Away" system that activates when a player is afk? If so, the problem might be there (If there is one in the features of the engine, the problem could come from there too) Thirdly, Try using extremely quickly multiple food items. There could be a glitch there that blocks your hunger when consuming food too quickly. Then, don't forget to activate debug mode each time you do this, to see what happens when you do anything. Also add the hunger value to the debugger to see if it is a display problem.
