  1. First Impressions: I am a huge ultima online fan so seeing skill use leveling makes me extremely happy. There are a ton of synergy opportunities that could be calculated in. For example, alchemy raises potion effectiveness or woodcutting increases melee damage by a small amount. I am enjoying myself in regards to character progression. I cant give feedback on content yet as I am not through the current content after one day, but the world map seems small, so there may be a need here. Combat is good, albeit slow, but this is overshadowed by knowing you are training in endurance etc during fights. Its not about kill speed but rather how often you are in combat. It promoted challenging yourself and I appreciate it. Overall, this game is worth trying if for no other reason than experiencing the creative approach to progression. L personally look forward to the full loot pvp… When Im ready.
  2. I have a website currently being used for my wife's business. Its on WiX but uses a pretty standard layout. Looking for someone who can write a copy of it in HTML. I own the domain name and can likely find someone to host it wink wink. Let me know if you got the skills
  3. reserved a spot. Will have so much to do this month with EO Games!
  4. Sold! Just registered. Going with my classic moniker, Overshield!
  5. Loving DoL man. Sign up for razer comms and add me. Omegaxtc. I prefer it to Skype as it has game overlay like mumble
  6. This will make healing, tanking, and essentially everything so much easier!!
  7. I enjoyed it but mainly just gambled to level 5 by spamming for $5\. The win ratio was more than half. Walked away with 100k $ :)
  8. I think the concept art is cool, but you'll probably just have to find non-copyrighted sprites that resemble what you're going for. I know there's generic birds in the engine that a lot of game developers here use, and maybe some other free-ware throughout the internet. So again, cool art, but an actual pixel artist might be tough to pull in.
  9. Hey Whitespirits. I think having a worn path that at least guides a player where they should go makes for a bit easier travel, especially in the world of EO games where world maps are sometimes hard to come by. To end a world you could do a few things. Make the end loop back to the start, include a portal or tear in space that the player moves through to be sent back to the staging area, or have it be a dead end with the illusion of a greater world, for instance.. a gate with a guard that says something to the effect of "great job saving this realm, but the king has said no visitors beyond this point". That at least leaves the player thinking there may be more content or at least there is a virtual world beyond what they can see.
  10. I have known Skyward for 4 years. I have experienced his content in the game development stage and during actual in-game play and I must say… it's almost criminal to be able to obtain an unlimited personal license to his content for that cheap. Consider this a strong recommendation to utilize his services.
  11. Maybe I'm just getting too old. Maybe I take gaming a bit too seriously and I don't get it. It's a fact that every game I look at thinks that someone is going to be interested in paying for a pet crab (maybe its a surfing mount like in the pic) or want to hear fan fiction about a fake NPC's love of gerbils… And right when I'm downloading a new patch I see this crap? Makes me hit cancel every time. ![](http://i62.tinypic.com/2ccl4t4.png)
  12. They do make old spice bath and body wash for hair and body. I'm not sure what chemicals go into it, but you can be assured only the best acronyms and hyphens will be used.
  13. Spell deflection/reflection has been used in thousands of games. As long as you don't use actual property or assets of another company, you can use the behavior as you please.
  14. The only reason I always prefer a subscription based experience is because as a customer you are "entitled" to a certain level of service and continued support that you don't otherwise receive with a free alternative. Second place is buy to play.
  15. oh no, did I miss it! says its down
  16. Pretty juvenile, but it's done in nearly every J-Rpg made since Tomb Raider released in the 90s. I'd rather have intelligent gameplay with choices and high skill ceilings than boobs. I can get boobs anytime and they're not in my monitor. It's like going to the zoo to see a cocker spaniel. There's a few down the road but I don't have to pay $14 to see them through glass.
  17. Congrats Henrik! I was looking for this thread!

  20. I felt this one was a little mean *removed
  21. instead of autographed posters, monogram that picture on a tshirt and hand them out to people.
  22. No knocks on you Crest but this story has me wanting to hug my 5 yr old. Probably not a bad idea for people to read it with a little seriousness. Though I agree I didn't expect to see this on a game development community website
  23. Not so bad, pretty fun actually
  24. Giving it a shot here in a min
  25. Without prior knowledge of the history of EO, and not having that knowledge somehow may make me unbias…. The way I see it and I believe everyone agrees.. Eclipse Worlds is a superior product to EO. I personally don't feel automatically entitled to a superior product. If there is a free version, I would call that an olive branch from those who put their time into developing it and would otherwise expect to pay something for use of said product. If I make a donation, then it would be above and beyond for me to get something for that donation. in short: everything costs money. Something for free is a blessing. Getting rewarded for donations is a plus if you already support the product.
